Job tasks and responsibilities

✓ Client advisory in legal matters
✓ Complex settlements
✓ Be able to work autonomously as well within a team environment where necessary
✓ Developing and managing own file loads
✓ High levels of attention to detail
✓ Negotiating, drafting and modifying a wide variety of contractual documentation and ancillary agreements.
✓ Demonstrating legal awareness and exercising sound legal judgment.
✓ Drafting and providing advice in area of speciality
✓ Drafting and modifying contracts and agreements.
✓ Negotiating matters to settlement in area of expertise.

Founded in 1999, the firm has a reputation for providing high-quality legal services to clients in a wide range of areas, including Commercial Law & Litigation, Employment Law, Family Law, Local Government & Planning, Injury Compensation, Property Law & Conveyancing and Wills & Estates.

The firm is currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Licensed Conveyancer or Property Lawyer to join their team. Managing, assisting, and reviewing legal advice including Property & Conveyancing matters.

Job tasks and responsibilities

Typical duties include:

✓Negotiating matters to settlement.
✓Domestic and commercial conveyancing.
✓Management of caseload by dealing with file related queries either face to face or by telephone.
✓Processing of matters on a timely and cost-effective basis.
✓Maintenance of files by effective file management.
✓To ensure that clients are dealt with efficiently and politely and that appropriate legal matters are addressed on behalf of clients.
✓To attend to clients, taking instructions, and conducting letter and telephone enquiries as necessary
✓To use the correct Practice procedures and systems in order to manage cases effectively and in accordance with the firm’s standards and legal requirements.

A successful applicant will have the following attributes and skills :

✓Experience running conveyancing matters from start to end autonomously.
✓Licensed Conveyancer or Property Lawyer.
✓Experience with LEAP Legal software essential.
✓Have an understanding of and ideally proficient in PEXA.
✓Be a problem solver, good mathematical and written communication skills.
✓The ability to communicate well with clients and other parties in person and over the telephone.
✓Punctual, well presented and have excellent attention to detail.
✓Work effectively and efficiently at all times and be able to work independently.
