Coutts Wins Two Awards at IWIB Awards Day

Coutts Lawyers and Conveyancers won two awards and scored two nominations at the prestigious 2022 Illawarra Women in Business Awards.

Coutts took out the top award for “Best Business”, and Lawyer, Elly Manoe, was honoured with the “Young Businesswoman of the Year” accolade. Coutts were also finalists for the “Customer Care” award and Partner, Karena Nicholls, was nominated for the premier “Businesswoman of the Year” category.

In accepting the award for “Best Business” (sponsored by One Agency JD Property Agents) Ms Nicholls, said client satisfaction and employee wellbeing was at the heart of every decision she and Managing Partner, Adriana Care, implemented.

Ms Nicholls commenced her career as a lawyer over two decades ago and said her goal was to disrupt the status quo and help build a law firm that put people first.

This determination to deliver gold-standard service shone through for the judging panel. “The winner of the 2022 IWIB Best Business, Coutts Lawyers Wollongong, impressed the judges as a female powered business, whose focus is to care, show compassion and empower their clients,” Glenda Papac, Director of Illawarra Women in Business said.

“The business has exploded and grown rapidly through word of mouth, spreading into eight offices across the state,” Ms Papac said.

Lawyer, Elly Manoe, was awarded the highly contested “Young Businesswoman of the Year” title (sponsored by IMB Bank), a testament to her ability to deliver legal triumphs and commitment to charitable initiatives that uplift the community.

“Earning five-star reviews from clients for her stellar legal representation, encouragement and emotional support, Elly has contributed to the success of growth in clientele at Coutts through her legal work and helping to refine the firm’s social media marketing and business development,” Ms Papac said.

“Elly is in talks to provide seminars to high schools across the Illawarra to give students the basics on their rights and responsibilities before the law,” Ms Papac said.

The IWIB awards recognise outstanding businesses and individuals that have gone above and beyond to service the community and deliver innovative strategies.

“We are proud of the awards we have won and were nominated for, but above all, our work continues. Coutts is a forward-thinking law firm, and we continuously search for strategies to drive efficiency and productivity, so ‘that we achieve the best possible outcome for our customers”, Ms Nicholls said.
